Pastene Sunflower oil is produced from oil type sunflower seeds. The oil is light in taste and appearance and supplies more Vitamin E than any other vegetable oil. It contains monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats with low saturated fat levels. The U.S. Surgeon General reported "Eating less (saturated) fat is the most important change you can make to decrease your risk of heart disease."
Sunflower oil is the oil of choice for sauteing oil in Italy and a host of other countries. Chefs like the fact that the oil has a high smoke point (320° F, 160º C) and neutral flavor. Combined with the health benefits of a low fat diet makes the oil a winner in the kitchen.
