Pastene Marintaed Artichoke Hearts
Artichokes are one of the oldest foods known to man.
Ancient Greeks and Romans considered artichokes a delicacy and an aphrodisiac.
Artichokes are the premature buds of a plant of the thistle family.They have strong
protective leaves around the wiry choke, which contains the tender edible heart of the plant.
These tender Artichoke Hearts are quartered and marinated in oil and spices. They
make a wonderful addition to antipastos, salads, omelets, pasta dishes, and sandwiches.
Artichoke Hearts are also delicious right out of the jar.
